In addition to the playback qualities, practicality was at the top of the specification during development. The housings are therefore made of light poplar plywood and coated with a robust textured paint. And the neodymium magnet speakers used weigh less than half of their conventional counterparts. Thanks to this consistent lightweight construction, even longer stretches lose their horror - and who doesn't know them, the locations where there are two floors between the entrance and the stage and unfortunately there is no elevator? In the case of the bass boxes, the reflex openings are directed to the front. Because if they point backwards, the sound in the lower frequency range is strongly dependent on the distance to the building wall behind it - which you usually have little influence on in smaller clubs. For reasons of space, the cabinets often have to be placed directly on the wall, which has already cost the lives of a number of jack plugs. To avoid this, we use a connector panel in which the two SpeakOn/quqrter inch combo jacks are countersunk and mounted at a slight angle. In addition to the connection panel, wood screws are only used for the handles and the protective grilles. Threaded screws with screw locking varnish are used to mount the baffle, feet and  the speakers. The costs of the components and, above all, the assembly effort are several times higher than "simple solutions", but this ensures that even after many years of intensive use everything is still tight. All in all, such details also mean that each cabinet (depending on the size) contains 5-10 hours of work - which, in addition to the high-quality loudspeakers, is the reason why TiefToener cabinets have their price.
